Minor operations can be done at our Fryston Road Surgery. These operations are carried out by Dr Matthew Blackamore. If you require any minor surgical procedures the GP you are seeing will place you on the waiting list and you will be contacted by a member of the practice team.
Dr Matthew Blackamore runs a dedicated clinic at Fryston Road Surgery to help patients with joint or muscular problems. It will be possible for patients to have joint injections at this clinic. We are glad to announce that our local Physiotherapist, Mrs Chris Croft, from Mid Yorks Trust will be attending these clinics so that our patients can receive physiotherapy assessments in the surgery also. If you require help with musculoskeletal problems the GP you are seeing will either place you on the waiting list and you will be contacted by a member of the practice team, or arrange an appointment for you.
We offer clinics for the fitting of contraceptive implants, run by Dr Williams, and coils, run by Dr Simmons. Please see them first to discuss your requirements and they will book you into the relevant clinic. You can see the Practice Nurse or any GP to receive the contraceptive pill or injection.
At the travel clinic the nurse will not only ensure you receive the correct vaccinations for the areas you are travelling to but she will also carry out an assessment of any current medications and advise you of any steps you may need to take.
